Trina – History

Job number 1200, Trina was commissioned for a life in the hire fleet on the 13th of August 1964.
She has been owned by Peter and Elizabeth Kidner and Michael and Robyn Maher for the past 5 years and is kept on a mooring at Avalon Sailing Club in Clareville.
During the last 5 years Trina has been continuously improved and is used on a regualar basis. In 2010 the current owners replaced her old Chrysler Ace petrol engine with a 42hp Craftsman Marine Diesel engine from All Marine Spares in Monavale.
The owners chose the Craftsman because it fitted within the existing engine box whereas most other engines would have meant raising the height of the box.
The improvements that have been done are too many to list and they will continue to keep the owners busy for another year at least. Hopefully in time for next years Wooden Boat Show.
